Is this another album that will gave rave reviews from whatever remains of the New York centric music press and yet the band will still play 300-500 capacity venues?
I only listened at a very moderate level once last night because my kids were sleeping while I worked out and I dug it. No Fear and the last few tracks (Stars on) were stand outs for me but I need to have a better head phone listen tonight.
This album’s good as hell. Maybe my favorite since Plowing even if the highs aren’t as high as Seek Shelter. His lyrics are so poetic and strange and they’re always a bit hard to make out on first listen so I’m sure I’ll love this even more once they sink in
This is great. They sound so energized. Perfect blend of sloppy swagger and pop melodies. By the way, there's a melody on Match Head Girl that sounds like an interpolation of another song, but it's stuck on the tip of my tongue. Any one else?
