Bayer needs a show

 

Another thing I like about this show is that what the other characters do in the sketches, the "straight man". Unlike snl, who 90% of the time have the straight man say "oh dad stop being so weird" and calling out the joke constantly.... tim has variety. Sometimes they're all in this crazy weird universe of silly, sometimes they change their outlook in the middle of the sketch

Great example is car focus group. The premise of the sketch starts off as "old man gives bad ideas". At first everyone ignores him and looks at him like "wtf". On snl, they would just keep doing this then whole time and end. But on this show, the sketch turns into this thing where everyone makes fun of a normal guy. Now the sketch is the old man gets everyone to gang up on other guy. And then throw in some other random reactions and you got yourself a great sketch.

This is executed perfectly for the eating reciept sketch

 

“I took a shower last night, AFTER I took a piss and shit.” lmao the way she just says this so seriously, ready to eat that paper

 

Or SNL just needs good writers. Their cast is actually mostly fantastic.

 

Cecily, Fred Willard, and Heidecker are all great in ep 3

Never realized how often I tug on my damn t shirts until I watched the TC Tuggers sketch

 

The bones are their money

Loved the TC Tuggers, hot pies, Heidecker burning his mouth on room temp gazpacho, Forte is a god in every single thing he’s ever done, and the nacho date. Might be forgetting one or two others but the rest kind of run together. Still will check out if they do more episodes in the future.

 

Honk if your horny guy also put on a masterclass in comedic acting. Grabbing his insides and making those sounds cause he was so horny as if he was dying

 

His commitment is insane

 

His mouth by itself is funny as hell.

 

Lmao I was actually watching Tim Robinson’s episode of The Characters yesterday and had to pause it when he turned up as one of the pointers to figure out his name/what else he’s done. He’s super funny.

I saw Conner do stand-up with Joe Pera. Talk about two VERY different types of comics.
