The other genre of sketch I like are the delusional guys that project and tell on themselves: Has this ever happened to you, hot dog vacuum, hot dog car, coffin flop, guy trying to embarrass Barry, guy trying to buy a gun in The Characters.

 

The Barry one is one of my all-time favorites.

 

Spoiler for Mad Men, but holy shit this works.

 

My wife made banana bread last night so that everyone could have some this morning.

I had to wait all night, but you know what I did.

 

damn my wife made banana bread two days ago and I didn't even think about that

 

I’m in CPR training at work and can’t stop thinking about the choking skit, this show is so invasive in everyday life.

 

“Cause I saw that thing. That thing came in here when I was on the couch” is maybe my favorite line read by Tim.

 

And the premise of the egg game sketch is so fucking stupid it’s perfect.

 

i saw a band tonight and before one of their songs they played the audio click of tim ordering 55 of everything at the drive thru and then went into their song LOL

 

Currently in a work Teams meeting and doing that thing where I’m trying desperately to muffle my laughter.

 

In thinking more about this season, I think these are the 2 funniest lines to me (right now):

"He's too tough on the rope. He pulls on the rope. He wrenches on it. He thinks it's his." - Mike from Adventure 365

"Three seconds to think of something silly? That’s fucking insane! That’s not enough time. I blanked. I gagged on a purple feather.” - Tim Meadows as Father of the Bride

 

Mike is absolute peak

 

The rant about Barney's fur might be it for me

 

I think overall, less hit for me this season than others but I still enjoyed it. I admire just how out there the sketches get from the simple beginning, even if I don't end up finding them funny, but as far as what actually got me laughing, and is stuck in my head, there's less from this season than the prior ones on an initial watch.

Ones that didn't really hit for me:
- The frankenstein youtube guy
- The guy who sees things in a special way
- The metal game show guy
- The dirty song guy
- Rat mom
- Shirt brothers (besides the song)

I don't really know what I think of the driving crooners one yet.

The rest in the season would go from various ranks of okay to great and I'm not going to list them all.

 

Driving Crooner is an instant classic

 

Dirty song guy and metal game show are probably the weakest of the season.

 

Agreed. Everything else was anywhere between good and amazing

 

Dirty Song Guy might be my least favorite of the series tbh
