Does anyone have a theory about why these sketches are almost all funnier after at least 2-3 watches? It’s something that always happens with me for music, but not necessarily shows or movies

 

Familiarity, I'd suppose. You know what's coming, you know how absurd it's going to get. Why the character is the way the are in the beginning, etc.

For example, my favorite sketch is the parking lot one one from S2. At first you see a guy who yells at someone for taking too long to back up. But after you see the end and he freaks out about a hot steering wheel, you really know how fucking nuts he is. It's so much funnier after multiple watches.

 

Tim making a sketch about someone being on a dating show just to ride the zipline probably because he just wanted to ride a zipline is hilarious.

 

There's something really bad waiting for me at home

 

For me, it’s very rewarding to see what the people in the background are doing while all the wild shit is going down

 

Godzilla the gorilla

 

Coffin Flop extras are insane.

 

He's too rough on the rope. He pulls on the rope. He wrenches on the rope. He thinks it's his.

 

Why wouldn’t he just wear the hat and have the cigar in his mouth, it’s so silly

 

Because then it would just be a crooner that’s driving not THE driving crooner.

 

There’s no stickers on it!

 

One of my favorite things about this sketch is that his face shows NO enjoyment despite going on it repeatedly.

I think it’s because at first you focus on like, the main part that is funny, the part that is immediate, and upon rewatches you notice all the little subtle things and each rewatch you are seeing more of those subtle things all at once.

 

Not seeing a lot of talk about the hair growth one, but that one had me rolling.

"I don't like him, I don't want him to have hair."

One of my first thoughts about binging season 3 was that it felt too cartoonish. But I took a day to pause and remind myself of what show I'm watching and have been absolutely obsessed with since the first season dropped.

I love how that one is set up. She gets out of the car and the camera holds on it a little too long.

 

Eps 2 and 3 really have some all time great ones top to bottom

 

The fact that he took it nude is so fucking funny.
