Does anyone have a theory about why these sketches are almost all funnier after at least 2-3 watches? It’s something that always happens with me for music, but not necessarily shows or movies

 

Familiarity, I'd suppose. You know what's coming, you know how absurd it's going to get. Why the character is the way the are in the beginning, etc.

For example, my favorite sketch is the parking lot one one from S2. At first you see a guy who yells at someone for taking too long to back up. But after you see the end and he freaks out about a hot steering wheel, you really know how fucking nuts he is. It's so much funnier after multiple watches.
