Honestly this probably isn't the single I would've picked because I think there's a lot of much better tracks on the album, but it's still solid and definitely catchy.

I can't remember where I read it but I wanna say Brent said something at some point like "the new album will be like Connector but with the progressive elements of Satori". Is that at all accurate?

I’d say it’s more like pushing further in the direction of Connector with some new elements mixed in. That’s just my take though.

Wow I love Chaos in Motion. This is shaping up to be a contender with KNS.

Song's decent but neither new song really works for me the way most of Connector did. I'm hoping the rest of the album impresses me more and these work better in context.

Idk I really love how poppy Chaos is. I think they do a good job at playing with that style(Dancing on a tight rope, Slow Dancing Forever etc.).

"I am the patron saint of lost causes"

Holy shit, this album is superb. Maybe a tiny bit lighter than their previous records, but damn if it's like this I don't mind at all. Hope they will get the recognition they deserve.

Glad people are liking it so far, I was hoping they wouldn't get bashed too much for going "softer" because it's a great record.

I like this but it's definitely a step down from their last for me on first listen. Too many mid-tempo plodding choruses. "The Sound of Breathing" and "Sleepwalker" were the two standouts for me.

first listen, this is definitely different and it may take a bit for the pop senibilities to grow on me. "Silver Tongues" is my favorite song, and it's always frustrating to like the singles more than most of the album, but there's some cool stuff on here. i really liked "111 Winchester", the intro/verse riff to "Symphony of Skin" is pretty awesome. i expected this to have this overall sound after hearing the singles, but i'm mostly just disappointed/surprised in the lack of screaming. and in the one song its featured, its in the background and distorted. i know it wouldn't have fit the songs really but, his voice feels very safe for most of the album, and i was hoping for a couple more risks in that direction in addition to the lighter sound. i do have to say the lyrics are really good and do a great job telling stories, except for the overmention of "phones" that i keep hearing on at least 3-4 different songs. i think that "connector" is going to remain the top album for me for a while, but i will definitely be jamming this!

Honestly a lot of bands that I love have been doing great with putting out softer sounding albums(Pianos, ALLB, Balance etc.).

I’m cool with these guys doing it too.

Yeah I liked my first listen a lot. Very accessible, but not in a bad way imo

I think the opposite about the lyrics. I think they're pretty bad. They come across as whiny and borderline sexist in a lot of songs, and if they're not, they're juvenile. 111 Winchester, Pet Names and Symphony of skin are all ruined by the lyrics in my mind. Also escapism might be the worst song they've ever released. I don't like anything about it.

I didn't pay too much attention to the lyrics but what I did pick up on seemed like a step down from their last album.
