I can’t get through ten minutes of this without tearing up. Something about this movie really is just so incredibly special. Gives me the feels only my all time favorites do.
Not hyperbole, and I’m moved by films quite a bit, but the feeling I got during the planetarium monologue is unlike anything I had felt before.
Anyone know the blu-ray release date? I missed this in theaters and I want to get it from the library.
been meaning to watch this but haven't had the chance (the closest theater showing it was over 100 miles away), so this is gonna be a blind buy for me. wish it was a UHD, but i'm sure it's still gonna look great.
Tbh I usually don't spend so much on one movie but I couldn't help myself, gotta support trans sisters, and also I just really loved this. The only other time I spent over thirty dollars on a single film was probably Midsommar director's cut, ofc also from the A24 store. Otherwise I buy stuff used or wait for Target's bogo sales
Oh yeah, I would spend it if I had it, this is my favorite film of the year so far. My wife had to leave her job for medical reasons, so I just actually don't have the money for it right now. Hopefully there is a more affordable standard release in the future
if anyone's looking to grab this at a slight discount, i have a referral link for AAA24 that will give you a free month so you can use the automatic 10% discount on store items. AAA24
as cool as it would be, they've never double dipped on something they've released all by themselves. unless someone like Criterion gets it, i think this might be it.
no problem. i'd ideally love for all of their self-released discs to have 4K upgrades, but iirc, this only made back like half of its budget. i'm doubtful they're gonna do a special release for something that underperformed commercially (which probably means i need to finally cave and pick up a copy of Beau is Afraid)
