I Play Rocky (Peter Farrelly, November 20th 2026)

I watched the trailer a few times and yeah it's definitely one of my most anticipated films of year!

 

Did you like Green Book?

 

I've heard sketch comedy improvisers sound more like Stallone as a joke than this guy, but always happy to see Matt Dillion show up in something

 

This is the director of Green Book.

 

The subject matter combined with the way the trailer shows us the whole movie makes it feel like a parody trailer

 

I liked it at first and Ali definitely deserved the best supporting actor oscar that year but it hasn't held up on the second viewing

 

When the rocky theme tune was played in the trailer it fucking got me the feels plus I already knew about the story behind the making of Rocky so if the final finished cut of the film is sincere, heartfelt and doesn't go into parody then this could potentially be an major awards contender

 

This looks awful. How they let that impression go for the entire filiming is insane.

 

I happen to like the voice/impression? Haha

 

There is no way to do Stallone without it coming off as a bad impression. He's one of most parodied celebrities in history because of the weird way he talks.
