I say this with everything Vinnie puts out: First few listens I think “eh, this is okay, I guess...” Then before long, I get the “aha!” moment, and I’m ready to go. I’m reeeeally pumped to get new Avalanche this year.
Damn, had no idea these dudes were working on new music. New single is great. Wasn't big on Wolverines, but I can tell I'm going to enjoy this a lot.
I feel like this is vinnies last chance to make an album I love. havent really liked his output for the past....decade, since av united. and the new movielife album was a big disappointment to me.
I felt that way about Avalanche United, but otherwise I’ve really liked mostly everything else. The last Movielife record was so solid, I loved every track.
Just got an email from I Surrender that there has been a delay with the vinyl because of COVID but that they should be back on track now. I saw Mike post a pic on his story with the test press so, hopefully, it ships out next month!
This surpassed any and all expectations. This record is incredible and I’m pretty sure it’s their best work to date.
This is better than its predecessor, and makes me nostalgic for that whole era when Avalanche United dropped. Welcome back!
About to listen on Spotify for the first time! I don't know why I even fuck with iTunes. I had the album pre-ordered and all but the first three songs say "purchased" but won't let me listen. So damn frustrating.
Good on you for supporting the band though! I have Apple Music solely because it integrates with my library and I have no issues. I hope they ship out the vinyl soon!
