Did not see a thread for this movie and it’s starting to be shown in the U.S. Fernanda Torres is outstanding!
Why does that guy look so much like Jesse Plemons? I wonder if this is the least seen Best Picture nominee at nomination time. The COVID films might be the closest.
Found this to be incredibly profound, riveting and moving; and, of course, a fantastic performance from Torres. Feel spoiled after seeing this and Brutalist back-to-back days.
This was fucking fantastic. Phenomenal performance by the lead actress, gorgeously shot, and flawless soundtrack.
Fernanda Torres casts so much emotion in such an understated yet powerful way. She wears the history of her character even in her facial expressions and it really is special.
