I won’t pretend I’m not gonna be anxious as hell waiting for one song for three weeks, but I get that allowing time for pre-saves is just part of the game now. My only hope is that the album rollout is short. If they say like November 20th or something I’m gonna be very sad

Hadn't heard about this record and just stumbled across the thread. Went to their Instagram as alluded to and wow. That's a hell of a lot of frogs.

Sent it to my friend who HATES frogs.

 

I thought I saw that the 4 song EP was a separate release. I can't find a source for that though, might have been on their Instagram. Either way, we'll find out soon.

 

Perhaps the 2nd LP is the singles and the covers?

Yeah this is my shit, I love this direction for them so much.

 

A bit more of a pop edge than I was expecting, but plenty of interesting creative choices made that keep it really interesting. The sound suits them very well

 

Call me crazy but it reminds me a LOT of Now, Now. Particularly “Yours”. The vocals in the verses are what stuck out to me first, but the overall rhythmic swagger with the way the chords change a half beat early is really completing the picture. Not a complaint, just something my brain immediately caught onto and can’t ignore haha

I can't help but think the frog/toad + psychedelic colours mean old mate may have consumed a bit of bufotenin while writing this album haha.
Keen on it either way.
