I’ve been listening to Rare a lot lately and I definitely like shoegaze Hundredth more than metalcore Hundredth. They really should have changed their name though if they’re not going to play anything pre-Rare.
Turnover was never heavy though. For hundredth, it was definitely more jarring, but also a much worse transition, considering the album was extremely meh. It makes sense that it didn’t work for them moreso than turnover.
they went from an awful band to a somewhat okay band I'm guessing they don't love playing songs they wrote that they grew to hate because they were bad This isn't a new phenomenon
Let Go and the EPs are great modern melodic hardcore. By the time they got to Free the sound just felt tired. The Rare sound is where they should be heading though
