Do we know if the versions of "Bedburner" and "Fractional" on here are the same ones previously released, or were they redone?
I think they're redone. On the low I have a confession to make lol. The night the preorders for the album went up I checked their Bandcamp and it was there in full, available to listen to. I didn't download or buy it or anything but I listened to it once because I knew it would be gone in the morning. It was pretty good
Really enjoyed this. I wish more post-hardcore bands could do heavy as well as these guys can. And the vocals and drumming elevate this above a lot of similar stuff for me. The only song I didn't care for too much on first listen was "Hellelujah" and even that was more meh than nah.
Lots of really cool, subtly detailed rhythmic stuff going on all over this record... that palm muted part that starts at 1:32 in Fractional made me double take haha. At times this kinda just feels like Norma Jean-lite but overall it does stand as it's own as a great heavy record, regardless of the histories of its members. December is probably my favorite track after all initial listen through. Verses in Last Apology give me heeeeeeeavy It Dies Today vibes, might be alone in that though
The bridge in Hellelujah sounds so cool where the harmonics switch back and forth between quarter notes and triplets. Obviously a pretty simple thing but it's just enough to kinda throw you off
Didn't realize there was a thread for this album. I was really impressed on first listen. Corey's got a sick scream and a real ear for heavy melodies.
Damn, they are extremely good live. Great show. Surprisingly decent turnout as well, I was worried there were gonna be like 5 people there lol
I really enjoy it. Infinite Winter is one of my favorites. I can actually see that being on the radio.
My vinyl preorder will finally be here tomorrow. Haven’t listened to this record in a couple weeks so it’s coming in at a great time.
