The tone they got and the way the guitars specifically are layered on DiH is a cut above. Electra and Astronaut bring the riffs for sure but DiH as a whole feels way more lush and dense. Especially on the repress they did, wowee
fuck i missed that bryan had passed while i was in rehab....thats fucking sad, the drums make up such a large portion of why i think inlet is legitimately a top 3 album of all time at this point for me...
Even tho Deftones is my fav band, I think YPAA is my favorite album of all time. If that makes sense.

Was about to write something along these lines. It's about as good as this style gets. The section with the atonal, blown-out guitars resolved by the riff at 4:49 -- always feels so good.
