I really hope I like this but that EP is super plain

My partners sister did the puppets for the Eat Your Young video, humble brag

wow lol this album rules. way more offbeat and interesting than I was expecting, way better than WB

seriously unbelievable record, shame it's not getting any traction on here. run of last 4 songs is just staggering

I haven’t really listened to him much since the first album, what’s a good place to start?

there's only this and the one before and general consensus is that Wasteland Baby was disappointing. I'd say try the Eat Your Young EP for a taster of what this album sounds like if you don't have time for the full thing

Got it, thanks! I wasn’t aware this was only the second album since then, makes sense

    The rivalry is back on

I liked WB quite a bit, but it’s more straightforward than this one. I think UU will end up being my favorite Hozier album to-date

Francesca/Damage Gets Done/Anything But/First Light are my favorites on this and Shrike/Dinner and Diatribes/Would That I are my favorites on the last one if we’re suggesting a brief “Best of Hozier post-TMTC”

yeah those 3 and Sweet Music are the major highlights on Wasteland for me. Shrike is one of his most beautiful songs without a doubt

Finally checking this out, really enjoying it so far! Liking how diverse stylistically the album is.

Another set of new songs - I wonder if Nobody’s Soldier hits anywhere near as big as Too Sweet; this song is huge

damn yeah Nobody's Soldier is gonna do some numbers. that chorus is euphoric

all 7 b-sides are nice but I'm glad none of them made UU, that album is perfectly tracklisted as is
