He was fantastic last night. His voice is just stunning live. He only played 4 songs not from Care, which was a little disappointing. Suicide Dream 1, & It Was U, Repeat Pleasure, and Set It Right. I was really hoping for Words I Don't Remember and kind of surprised he didn't play it. Otherwise, he ran through 7 or 8 tracks from this album. The Ruins is magnificent live, probably the set highlight.

 

Interesting, The Ruins is one of my least favorites on this I think

 

It never really made much impact on me either, but now I would consider it among the 3 or 4 best from this album.

He also referred to Burning Up as a country song he wrote.

In case anyone is interested, this is what he played from Care: Can't You Tell, Salt Song, What's Up, Lost Youth/Lost You, The Ruins, Burning Up, Made A Lifetime. Maybe one other one too.

 

Never forget this gem

 

Listening to his discography today to prepare for the show tomorrow. Total Loss is so so beautiful. Underrated imo. Really feels like a journey through grief towards acceptance and redemption

 

Liking this album more than his previous two

 

This is definitely in my top 10

Put on "What Is This Heart? "and Care this morning. Both perfect records imo, and the former is definitely somewhere in my top 20 of all time.

 

first record is the most interesting IMO

I also really like the 10" he did with strings

 

Listened to this today in the nice weather and it hit hard. Such a powerful and vibrant album

 

I didn’t like this nearly as much as the previous one

 

Me neither. Then again, I’d put What Is This Heart as one of the best albums I know. It’s flawless. Care takes a different direction, but it’s undeniably gorgeous. More colorful and optimistic than any of his other albums - perfect for sunny weather

 

Sometimes I forget how great Love Remains is

 

The new single is on his website. It's amazing.

 

It’s so fucking good. Retains the overt pop aspects of Care but he gets weirder like his pre-Care stuff. Love it.
