I liked that rap-style he used. He's been pushing into this poppier sound for a while so it felt natural to me. I do agree that I like his weirder stuff more but there's some really cool experimentation on this song too. it feels like its a classical song put on top of an electronic song and the lyrics sound pretty great first listen. I'm into it
This track is no where near as immediate as Lost Youth was for me. It kind of makes my anticipation a little more cautious.
Yep, probably the strongest initial impression a HTDW song has made on me outside Words I Don't Remember.
wow im surprised to see people not liking this. i mean, after the first single i kind of figured this would be his fully polished full on pop outing and this song achieves that in spades, its huge bombastic and touching all at once.
