It’s not the immediate “oh, this is the one” single that True Love was, but hearing a new Hovvdy song is always gonna put a smile on my face

After the folkier acoustic leanings of the last record it feels good to get something that dips into their weirder side again. There wasn’t much of that on True Love outside of Hope

Yeah this seems like a direct followup to Heavy Lifter, not to say that True Love wasn't very good too. Love the electronic influence they're getting back into.

very hard for me to rank their albums. Heavy Lifter is my favorite, but I probably listen to True Romance the most at this point. And if I want some slowcore, Cranberry is right there. Taster is kind of its own thing, but still very good
