I was wondering why they had not announced a U.S. tour yet for this album and I just got my answer. This is an awesome opportunity for them and honestly not a pairing I would have ever imagined!
Was hoping for some headliner dates, good for them though! Might be for the best since my September is already pretty busy. Maybe next year we'll get the album tour.
I missed Gojira opening for deftones because it took literally an hour to find somewhere to park and it was probably a mile north on broad from the venue
Yeah the venue itself isn't awful, but I am probably not going to get tickets for this because of how bad parking is. Girard ave is one of the worst streets to drive down in the city.
trust me I know lmfao driving in Philly is horrendous in general. my mom came to visit me once and I had to yell at her to drive more recklessly or we were never gonna get out of the traffic we were in lol
There’s a few free parking spots on the corner of Broad and Spring Garden, used to live right there in the Mural Lofts building
Completely full that night I think I had to go even further north than temple or just south of temple
Parking near the met is a fucking nightmare. I’ve bought absurd $50 parking passes the two times I went back since and I’m not happy about it, but at least Sigur Ros and The Mars Volta were good
School lots on Spring Garden are a few minutes away but free. You could probably also find other street spots maybe on Green Street or further along Spring Garden, closer to the breweries (but that’s a hell of a walk). Did it for Sigur Ros and the last few comedy shows I’ve seen. I park in the Mural Lofts lot and eat at Veganish before walking over to the MET. Haven’t had a problem yet.
Hell yeah. I haven't spun mine yet. Swapping out my current setup for my old one (my speakers aren't working) so I'll likely join you this weekend.
