Hey all - going to Houston for the first time (that isn't a layover) to spend NYE with family.

Any stuff I shouldn't miss? Hoping to have good brisket/bbq.

Ahhhh, my go to BBQ usually is Pit Room. Love Nippon for sushi if you like sushi. Ninfas on Navigation is the best Tex mex. All of this is in town but worth it imo.

If you wanna go record store digging, Vinal Edge, Cactus Music, and Sound Exchange are the best

Had Pappasito's at the airport once. It's really good.

 

Another good food spot for Vietnamese food is a place I discovered called Dinette. 4-6 is happy hour and it’s a damn good deal

 

I just need a damn good pizza rec there this weekend... and a brewery.

8th Wonder is very popular and a cool hang spot but the beer is very mid imo

 

Again, appreciate that rec… went there for the last hour it was open and has some great hazy IPA’s (and my wife, who’s not a beer drinker, loved their sour).
