I love the conquest and Jaehaerys’s reign. Not as into Maegor the cruel’s rule but find all the rest of it great
Started my rewatch. Don’t think I ever watched the premiere since it first aired. Already so much stuff and lore I’m picking up that I missed. Also now knowing what the conquest of Westeros was and everything that happened in between the show it’s really interesting all the callbacks and places they reference which I didn’t know originally when this aired.
Still love the dude in the brothel who doesn’t even bother to “un sheath” him self when Daemon makes his toast lol
Yeah he would have been stern but he was no Maegor. That’s just Otto Hightower propaganda. Idk what Targ king fits him the most as a comparison. Maybe Maekar?
Not a Targ king but the closest character to him is probably Bloodraven (fellow Dark Sister weilder) tbh. Daeron I was a certified Daemon LARPer.
Ok so we know where we are starting, but where do y'all think we're ending season 2 at? We have a casting announcement for Alyn so it is a logical to guess we are getting up to at least The Dragonseeds subplot, but are we going slightly past that and getting to The Battle of The Gullett and the Blacks taking King's Landing by the end of the season? My guess is that Rhaenyra getting cut by the Iron Throne as she sits on it for the for the first time is going to be the final scene of season 2.
I keep hearing a theory that Addam is getting cut from this show, and either be combined n with his brother Alyn or be replaced by a returning Laenor I hope not because that sounds stupid. There is better things they can do with Laenor if he returns than that. I still hold onto my he will be the one who saves Young Viserys from getting killed when he is captured by pirates, will end up back in Westeros after participating in the Battle of the Gullet on the side of the Three Daughters, will fight in the Riverlands on the side of the Blacks under the guise of sellsword Black Trombo, and will be the one who kills Prince Daeron at Second Tumbleton < major spoiler ) theory for Laenor.
So far the only questionable casting decision they've made off the top of my head is having the older versions of Aegon and Aemond look like the inverse of their younger selves lol, but obviously makes more sense in the description of their older characters I suppose. So I will trust them until they give me reason not to. I truly have never heard of the guy so I don't even know what he looks like haha
Bummer. Was kinda obvious the site was dead, but they were required reading during the height of GOT. Pretty sure these were the folks that left WinterIsComing.net after it got all clicbait-y right?
