If season 2 starts and ends where I' predicted it will I think Jace's arc next season is going to be incredible.
One thing I've been thinking on is how is this show going to cover what happens with young prince Viserys the payoff to that subplot doesn't really happen in timeline until many years after i'm assuming this show will end, unless we do a flashforward in the final few episodes of the series. < major book/show spoiler, do not click if you don't want to be spoiled
i like the actor they chose a lot, which makes me hopeful for some of the other key roles next season with how this finale ends im not assuming/wondering if they just cut out hugh the hammer entirely, which would suck
So you think they’re gonna re cast anymore main people? Why were people assuming Henry Cavil would be a good casting choice? For Aemon I’m assuming?
I think a lot of people just like the idea of him playing a Targaryen after seeing him in the witcher with the white hair haha. But a lot of people want him playing Aegon the Conqueror if we ever get a show about the conquering. In this show it seems like some people wanted him to be Cregan Stark but he's too old for that role I think.
Where we're at in the timeline now is where we're going to stay for the remainder of most of the series presumably. I wouldn't expect any timejumps that would require major recasts. Young Aegon and young Viserys are probably going to get proper child actors next season though. People have been pitching Cavil as either playing Cregan Start or pitching him to play Aegon the conqueror in a flashback.
Thinking about it now. I wouldn't be shocked if they recast that young non-speaking kid who they had as Joffrey as the series goes on.
I think i mentioned this awhile ago in here but one prediction i'm going to make for season 2 Laenor is going to show back up when the Triarchy comes into play during the war. I'm going to take the guess they're going to have Laenor be a captive of the Triarchy or something and he'll be a part of that subplot until the Battle of the Gullet happens < major spoilers
haha I’m guessing he claimed him specifically because he knew he was old AF and wasn’t gonna be ridden much longer. I imagine being on top of that beast gave him his beliefs on not being in control of dragons and that they shouldn’t have been messed with
Thinking about it i really like what they're doing with the set up of Rhaenys and Corlys' arc here. Them both being initially skeptical, Rhaenys then seeing in Rhanyra something worthy of fighting for, and her convincing Corlys. I can see them getting the ball rolling on where this is going with Rook's Rest and Corlys' actions in the later stages of the story <spoiler
This season ended up being pretty great. I was ready to bail after the first few episodes but then it really drew me in. Wonderful characters, which is what made GOT interesting in the first place.
