Only change i wish they didn't do was change the Green's sigil from a Gold Dragon to a Green Dragon. I guess it makes more sense to the viewer but i thought the Gold Dragon sigil representing Sunfyre was dope.
the dragon in the earlier episode before the time jump, the one that almost crisped Aemond, I believe was supposedly Dreamfyre, who is Helaena’s dragon. As for the Daemon stuff…hard to kind of say what he might be doing because I don’t think him going down there was really mentioned in the books. And hard to really explain what he COULD be doing without potentially spoiling it. I can say that, unless they make a drastic change from the books, he won’t be riding Vermithor. Like that was not in the book at all, full stop. But neither was this scene with him going down there, so, Who knows. Maybe they’re preparing to make that change? Relatedly, huge spoilers here so don’t read if you’re not a book reader: considering the size difference between Vhagar and Caraxes…do we think it’s possible that they DO have him switch dragons to make the Battle Above the God’s Eye more epic? And just switch the places of Vermithor and Caraxes? Man….if they did that, book purists would NOT be happy…I might be for purely selfish reasons of loving Vermithor and this would mean he gets to go out like a badass, meanwhile I had no real connection to Caraxes until the show, where his slithery snakey wyrmy build hooked me in in a “he’s so ugly…I love him!” Way haha
Someone is gonna have to turn Rhaenyra getting the page into a meme. Considering all the “Alicent was gay for Rhaenyra” memes that took over both GOT and gay Twitter, it feels like there is definitely some potential there lol
Sorry if this has been discussed or if it’s talked about in the book(s) as I may have forgotten it but once someone is “connected” to a dragon, can they change dragons if their “connected” dragon is still alive? Is it like, you can only have one at a time / one per lifetime while the dragon lives? Or can you have more than 1 at any given time? And if the books call this out or the history of how this works I wonder if the show would change those rules since there are a handful of unclaimed dragons or if they would piss fans off too much lol
I don't know if it's ever been directly addressed. I think it's just kind of assumed that Targs bond with their dragons and they've only ever bonded with one so....?
Personally I would not be a fan of that change at all in the book what made the Battle Above God's Eye so cool was the size disparity. That battle was determined by Caraxes' speed and Daemon's cleverness (also him just no longer giving a fuck), if they switch out dragons to make it a more even fight i think it would take away what makes it so great in the first place < again big 'ol spoilers
Thanks, that helps. Didn't read the spoiler, although it was a challenge not to read when quoting you haha. I read one spoiler here semi-accidentally a few weeks ago and it was pretty much saying how the show ends, so that was fun.
I love that big "wrrwaarrrrrrr" sound Vaegar makes after she chomps down. It was almost kind of cute lol.
