I think so. I think i've posted this before but my prediction for the layout of season 2: Premiere Blood and Cheese Halfway point Rook's Rest Penultimate episode Battle of the Gullet finale The Blacks take King's Landing
aight so I don't think it's a spoiler at this point to say we're getting the Starks, Arryns, and Tullys in season 2, they pretty much said as much this episode but do you guys think we're getting the Red Kraken next season or season 3? I'm now leaning towards we just get his name mentioned next season, and we'll finally see him in season 3.
Hmmm....I have to think about this and the timing. I can't right now because I'm trying to get work done but yeah...good question
I guessed what was going to happen right when he saw Aemond’s dragon wasn’t parked there anymore. Aemond’s reaction was interesting and surprising. Like, he was chasing someone on a dragon just to poke an eye out?
Also thought the design of Storms End was way different than what I was expecting. I remember it being described as having big round towers, but didn't think it would look like that
God damn after 8 seasons of GoT and 1 of this that birth and subsequent scenes are some of the most brutal and heart wrenching stuff they've put on screen
Thought it was kind of wild how much Paddy/Viserys and Emma/Rhaenyra looked alike in this episode. Noticed it especially during the crowning scene.
Love this thread and the book knowledge they drop on me cuz knowing now that was a change they made from the book I absolutely love it. Like Viserys says “it’s an illusion”. They don’t control dragons and that’s so much more interesting AND coming from Aemond. Also it’s just a very interesting character moment. Like someone else pointed out too. I haven’t read the books but just with what I’ve seen on this board F&B is all about unreliable narrative. So I like how the show plays with it.
Oh and the table is fucking awesome lit up like that. Quick someone send a Raven to Stannis, tell him how much cooler his table is than he realizes!
I’ll now turn my anticipation towards seeing who the fuck they’re gonna cast to play Cregan. Who is probably the most anticipated character in the show for most people.
The quote from F&B that backs up dragons disobeying their riders and having their own agency that i've been thinking on the past couple days "We've been asking this whole time 'where did Princess Aerea take Balerion?', mayhaps we should have been asking 'where did Balerion take Princess Aerea?' " < Book spoiler
yeah I didn’t realize he was supposed to be younger, so I had some older dudes envisioned in my head. Wonder what early-mid 20s guy they can get that can pull it off.
I’ve seen a few people throw out to not include Hugh and use Rhaena in that position in the show to claim Vermithor and to betray the blacks that would be odd book spoiler, potential future show spoiler
The one change from the book i'm still predicting though Alysanne Blackwood is taking over the role of Red Robb Rivers and doing the deed at Butcher's Ball
My wife pointed it out and now I can’t unsee it but when Vhagar comes out of the clouds (minus the face and wings) that mf is built like the monster from cloverfield lmao
