Also book stuff blood and cheese will be like episode 2 I guess. wild. I also don’t think helana’s talk about a beast beneath the board is in reference to blood and cheese. They come through the walls if I remember correctly, unless they change that.
Also sorry I’m just catching up so I wasn’t able to be apart of the discourse during the week. So just posting stuff after I just watched it. But Ottos smug face at the end of the episode was great. He was so proud of himself.
Can a book reader clarify if aemond talks about ruling, being king and jealousy of aegon in the books? I don’t recall that aspect of his character.
It's a weird feeling getting to see the finale 2 days before it airs, but it's an even weirder feeling getting a sneak peak of the toxic fan discourse around the episode 2 days before. Interested to see if the non-insane parts of the fanbase who do not have the literary comprehension of a boulder have similar issues with the thing people seem to be mad about.
Had to mute a team black stan account on Twitter not only posting a bunch of spoilers without warning but also just saying dumb stuff like “didn’t watch ep9 but I bet Aemond was doing some dumb face the whole ep” like they are literally fictional characters. You’re not watching an ep because it doesn’t show your besties so weird
It'll spoil something major in the end of the finale but if you really really want to know: During the dragon battle above Stormbreaker Bay in the climax Aemond loses control of Vaegar and it portrays what happens as being inadvertent and unintentional on his part, and ends with Aemond having kind of an "oh shit what did I just do?" look on his face. This is different than what happens in the book with Aemond being 100% intentional with what happens. People online are fuming at this change. MAJOR finale climax spoilerss
Thought it was weird at first but more i think on it the more i really like it. I'll specify in detail on why after the episode airs.
yeah this is definitely a question for my professor on tuesday. seemed like printing money for them at this point.
Hoping they keep the animated spinoffs in development. I've been looking forward to The Golden Empire (which is planned to be about YI TI) and GRRM has said the concept artwork he's seen for it has been incredible.
I wonder if they're worried the Sea Snake voyages show would be too similar to that Arya sailing the world show that was floated back in the final season of GoT.
