I enjoy the Ringerverse podcasts and how much Joanna and Mallory deep dive but Mallory annoys the absolute shit out of me with how many times in three hours she will sigh and say “oh godddddd”. It’s like her phrase to use instead of “um” and she does it so often I can only listen to that podcast in small chunks before needing to take a break lol
Trying to wrap my head around Aemond and Aegon being Luke and Jace's uncles, unless I misheard. I'm trying to visualize the family tree in my head and only see them as cousins. Is it because Viserys is grandpa to L & J, and father to A & A? Is uncle just the word they are using to describe that relationship?
Aemond and Aegon - parents are Alicent and Viserys Jace and Luke - parents are Rhaenyra and guy who’s name starts with L I can never remember (but is actually Strong) Rhaenyra and Viserys are related - father/daughter. I never know how family trees and all that work to begin with but yeah I’m confused by the uncle thing as well unless it’s meant as an insult but didn’t seem to rile anyone up so idk lol
Rhaenyra is Aegon and Aemond's half-sister (Viserys is all their dads), so Rhaenyra's kids are their nephews
Nope, they would be each others half nephews and half uncles based of the exact family tree you lay out at the end there.
it doesn't help that you have characters like criston confusing it too and also calling them cousins when it was the younger actors but yeah viserys being rhae and aegon/aemond's dad is pretty clear
