I have a couple of personal theories about what they can do with Laenor in the future. 1.What if Laenor shows back up when the Triarchy gets involved in the Dance later? Maybe is he reason young Viserys doesn't die in captivity. Maybe he's involved somehow in the Battle of the Gullet. 2. There is a kind of mysterious character named Black Trombo (terrible name I know) who is a sellsword from Essos who just kind of shows up in the Riverlands during the Dance on the side of the Blacks and starts doing badass shit. He plays a big part in the Butcher's Ball and the 2nd Battle of Tumbleton. There is one theory presented in the book as being the most plausible that Trombo is the one responsible for a certain major character's mysterious death at the 2nd Battle of Tumbleton. What if in the show Trombo is Laenor using an alias? < obviously some huge book/show spoilers
I think I read something that HBO thought it just didn't feel like it takes place in the same universe as Game Of Thrones. it was going to take place so far in the past that I guess they thought the audience would be disconnected by how unfamiliar it felt.
Oh interesting. I think this is a good theory. Otherwise why keep him alive. Cool to surprise the book readers though.
There’s no written rules on how dragons work but why wouldn’t seasmoke sense and follow his rider. Or did he just tell him to stay. Never heard of a dragon unbinding by just time away.
aren't they all technically wyrms anyways? dragons are supposed to have forearms while wyrms just have wings and legs
Regarding Corlys and his obsession with heirs and legacy and whatnat I know we're probably not getting Addam and Alyn until next season but i hope we get a tease the next few episode about Corlys having a secret "what to do if all my direct heirs die before me" failsafe plan up his sleeve already < book/future show spoler
I loved the costume design for the traditional Valyrian wedding ceremony. It looked so alien compared everything we've ever seen in this franchise.
Book spoiler man I can’t wait for aemond to die. Should be one of the best scenes of the entire series.
yeah watching Daemon go at Aemond and Vhagar with Caraxes and then doing that leap is gonna be amazing to see on screen do not read major spoiler
i believe the ages of the actors line up with aegon being older than aemond actually but it's insane how much younger nu-aegon looks than nu-aemond tom glynn-carney just has mega baby-face but creepy
Yeah the looks of each actor feel like they need ot be flip flopped in terms of age haha. I really don't remember much about Aegon's description in the books, but I don't remember him having a wimpy childish look, or anything saying Aemond was bigger than him. Could just be forgetting though. We'll see how they act. Hopefully the actor has that older brother swagger
Also I am dying for a conversation/stand off between Daemon and Aemond as it seems like they are going full Daemon-esque attitude with Aemond. Question for the book readers on that front: I know they speak before the battle above the Gods eye, but is it mentioned anywhere else that they have a run in/are in the same place at the same time? Maybe the show gives us some of that this week before Viserys finally dies, because clearly once that happens, our two sides are in different locations
i think it makes sense for after aegon is crippled and you get to have aemond acting out a bit more. especially if they go the route of him saying he’s more befitting aegon the conqueror’s crown
