Would htat be cannibal already? I Thought he/she didn't come into play until later in the Dance when they were looking for dragonseeds?
I am wondering if that is a subtitle error and it's really Rickon. Rickard was not born until after this is taking place if my internet research is correct.
Maybe I'm wrong and he said Rickon* instead of Rickard, as my internet research also confirms Rickon Stark was Cregan Stark's father, but yeah either way definitely wouldn't be the Rickard Stark we already know as Ned's Father, but an ancestor with the same name. But the fact that we're starting out so early in Viserys' rule that Rickon is the Warden of the North and is swearing fealty to Viserys in what is presumably the opening episode, that means either 1. we have a lottttttttttt of years to cover this season (or multiple seasons) before we get to the Dance, or, more likely, 2. The first episode is going to be a flashback episode of sorts that literally just sets the plate for the rest of hte series and drops us off somewhere closer to the actual start of the dance. But there is a LOT of plate setting that probably needs to be done, so I could see the flashback episodes being more than just one episode. We gotta build tension between Otto and Daemon, gotta show how the different factions came into being, etc. Just really interested to see how they decide how they do this
fkin A this looks awesome. this is how fantasy shows should look, not the pristine, freshly laundered, and airbrushed vibe of the WoT and new LotR shows
That battle scene, given the season's timeline and the look of some of the costumes that's gotta be War for the Stepstones right?
From my memory, there aren’t any battles or wars during Viserys’ reign so i think it would have to be unless it’s a flashback or the first season gets much further than we’re thinking it does
