I'm pretty much the same. I loved GOT but this show is just not very interesting to me. I really wish I saw what everyone else saw it in it but I really find it almost fading into the background pretty often

I forget all the details but I believe the theory goes that the eggs elissa farman stole to pay for her ships were a clutch from Dreamfyre's, and many people theorize those were the same eggs Illyrio gave to Dany. And now the internet sleuths are saying Dreamfyre's design looks extremely like Dany's dragons, compared to some of the different looks we're getting with Meraxes and Cyrax and Vhagar and etc.

That's always been the debate about dragon eggs in general, like what does it actually take to hatch them. There was a presumption that eggs that don't hatch after a certain amount of time will never hatch, but if it's magic that caused them to hatch for Dany, is that how it always worked? etc

God bless the people that figure this stuff out because that intro moves way too fast and is too dark and vague for me to figure out half the time lol

Jaehaerys is always easy to spot because he has like 9 blood lines coming out from his. And Aegon the Conqueror and his sisters are easy enough too. But other than that I'm usually pretty lost with that intro haha

I do think it sucks we were robbed of Harwin Brokenbones and a true fight him between him and Cole. But once again it appears they didn’t want to tell this story through a series of tourneys lol

a change from what happens in the books, or a change from a previous plot leak?

  15. Both it sounds like

  16. My assumption is they change what happens to Laenor

Hmmm....it'd be hard to change their final outcome because a few future events kind of depend on what happens to them happening to them. But maybe they just change up when it happens/how it happens? Or maybe they're just writing Adamm of Hull completely out of the show and letting this character take on that roll?

  20. Some are saying it’s a “happy ending” type of change which would be….very different.

Maybe he gets sick of Rhaenyra’s shit and fucks off to the Free Cities/Essos Witt Qarl? Would be kinda dumb tbh but…interested to see how they play this out

i think i need to read this book. i feel like, this show even more so than GoT was made FOR people who read the book. The time jumps are really taking me out of it, i feel like going into each episode you're just supposed to know what's going on. not really complaining because i am still loving the heck out of it, but i find myself constantly checking "who is that" and "what just happened".

Yeah I've said it before but I am kinda surprised they went this direction with it instead of trying to "Fill in the gaps" and stretch it out a bit more. Obviously D&D had some trouble with doing that themselves but with GRRM being involved in the development of the show and the showrunner being a super nerd, I figured they coulda tried it and made this whole first season the youngins and then did the big time jump in season 2. We're still gonna get one decent sized time jump here because the kids all have to be a little bit older before the war starts, but doing that 3 or 4 episodes into season 2 after the big time jump between seasons probably woulda been "easier" for the viewer.

Instead they really went straight from the book and have just jumped from event to event to event that leads us to the edge of war.

What will be interesting to see is how they handle the war itself because we get a LOT of new characters that play prominent roles. We're gonna have to slow down a lot to get to know them I think. That's why I think the next couple of seasons will be a lot slower. We probably need 3 full seasons to flesh out the war at an acceptable pace. 4 would really be perfect to do it justice, but obviously we're not going to get every single major battle/engagement of the war on screen so.
