Am I really going to have to put "Book spoilers which may or not be partially or fully the basis for events which may or not be depicted in the episode" disclaimer every time i want to talk about something that happens in the book?
I really was waiting for something different to happen there in Rhaenyra's bedroom. Thought for sure he'd shoot her down due to honor. I do like that they've kind of made you think just a little bit that maybe Daemon planned all of that--get her worked up and have her seduce her sworn shield, make sure they were seen to let the rumors start, use it as an opportunity to ask Viserys to wed her, etc.
Also having those scenes of fun and pleasure and etc interspersed with Alicent "doing her duty" was an interesting way to show the different lives they're leading.
Soo next episode is the last we're getting of young Rhaenerya and Alicent before the big timejump right?
the post-episode discussion with the crew stated that it's been six years since the pilot, so another 3 since the last.
It probably makes the most sense for that to be so, seeing as how We need to get these children into the world and aged fast before the Dance begins. However, I feel like that means we'd lose some context on how her and Criston become estranged and how Harwin becomes her sworn shield and maybe possibly lover. Like, feels like one more episode of them being younger to explore what happens there would be a good idea...but I'm guessing we're not gonna get that, and they'll just tell us about via some exposition

Hmm...wait really? It's been 3 years since Viserys told her to find a husband herself? So Rhaenyra is like 20 now and still not married? Can't believe they let her go that long without finally forcing the issue lol
Kinda almost felt bad for Otto when Viserys took the pin off of him. He looked devastated. And he did actually seem pained to tell him the news. But yeah it felt good to hear Viserys call him out on his scheming haha
Also wondering if next episode they're going to do the Green dress/Black dress moment or if they're saving that for the first post major timejump episode (BOOK SPOILER)
Hmmm...I had assumed the baby we saw Alicent with tonight was the one she was pregnant with last episode, so that maybe like 6 months had passed. But I guess maybe it was a different child/baby? Part of why I thought that was I kinda thought they had the baby dressed as a girl, and her 2nd born child after Aegon is a girl.
I thought he/she looked even younger than that TBH, though maybe I didn't get a good look. I def thought it was still an infant, maybe a year old at most, and thought they had it dressed as a girl haha. But I guess we coulda jumped further and had even more kids?

the one she was holding in the episode? I assumed that was baby #2, the one she was pregnant with in the last episode. Don’t think we saw Aegon in this episode.
I missed that V had fingers missing in the last episode. They really focused on that in this episode to make sure people could see that (along with more back wounds during that scene)
