Pretty good episode, but the whole fake Daeron thing didn't work for me. The lack of reaction from the dragon should have been an obvious giveaway, and Daemon is far too smart to not force Daeron to bring his dragon south with him anyway. Maybe I am missing something, but this didn't add up to me.
I’m guessing Daemon figured Tessarion wouldn’t be a threat if she and Daeron were separated. If Daeron were allowed to ride her back to KL, who knows what disruption they might cause
I am enjoying this show but if yer gonna be this unsubtle you should risk the occasional wacky end credits song. in this case I'd have gone with ghost's "rats"
I can't be the only one who laughed at the timing of this week's dialogue about the people maybe not being into a lavish public event while they're struggling to eat
Finally watched it. Liked the slower pace, it's deliberately showing how she was totally unprepared for what ruling would exactly be like. As they say "heavy weighs the crown". And it also showed that desire taking the iron throne, despite people bending the knee, two things will always be certain. The castle always has rats and Hightowers will always be Hightowers.
Been reading through Fire and Blood and finally got to the Dance of the Dragons section. Loving this book and I like HOTD significantly more than GOT as a series. Kind of bummed to know the ending, I’ve stayed away from spoilers, but I love the way blood and fire is written as different accounts. Cool to see how the show interpreted the book and it kind of lives as its own version.
