Despite all the Zaslav fuckery I'm extremely excited to be back with these characters.

 

Show is really good but watching that during this incredible season of KOTSK makes it kind of hard for me to care. Even just the look of the trailer looks cheap compared to that show even though I’m sure it costs like 5x to make

Things I'm seeing in the trailer. Leaving book spoilers completely out of it

-Looks like we got a good close look at the dragon that I don't recognize but riderless...could be Daeron's dragon we saw at the end of Season 2 flying over the Hightower army? The tents looked green in the background
-Vhagar burning a bunch of people but I can't tell who/where...think I MIGHT know where but that WOULD be a book spoiler lol
-What looks like Baela on Moondancer, but also maybe not? Could be Rhaena with Sheepstealer that we saw her find last season but hard to tell. It was heavily implied she'd ride it but who knows
-A bunch of armed men drawing their swords in the throne room at the red keep...interesting
-The Winter wolves! There's a scene of a bunch of men charging and you can clearly see the House Stark banner
-all sorts of different scenes from the battle of the Gullet
-Jace on his dragon!
-Daemon armored up and clashing swords with somebody...can't really tell who it is.
-Rhaenyra banging on a locked door? hmmm
-An unarmored Criston Cole engaged in some sort of battle/scrum
-We saw two shots of Aegon, one with the Clubfoot and one of just him looking upwards...hmmm
-Alicent looking very shocked at something
-notably, I didn't see Otto Hightower anywhere in the trailer. They gave us that glimpse of him at the end of last season in either hiding or a prisoner of somewhere, no hints here on him as far as I saw

 

Interesting to see James Norton in this, like him a lot and don’t remember seeing the announcement

Thought that looked excellent especially that one shot of the Gullet where the dragon is coming down

 

Between this and Dunk and Egg I am FULLY back in GoT mode lol I am pumped

 

Yeah I assume this will be episode 1…I wonder if it’s wholly focused on this or if they have the other land battle we see happening in the trailer happening in the same episode. With all those armies marching at the end of season 1 we should presumably get a land battle pretty fast, whether it’s episode 1 or 2 who knows. If it’s episodes 1-2, that’s gonna be a hell of a 1-2 punch to start the season lol

 

With a gun to my head i dont think i could tell you a single thing that happened in season 2

 

Skill issue

 

the skill issue is making an unmemorable season of television

 

I liked the season as it was happening but it has had no staying power

 

That's because it just had no true climax. Instead we're getting the climax to season 2 the start off season 3 lol
