Don’t fall for the fake Daeron casting that’s making its rounds on Twitter today, btw. It lists Deadline as a source but it’s BS.
like I swear I’m not crazy, I swear you used to get updates during the season like “pre-production has begun!” And then maybe a month or two after the season ended you’d get the “they have begun filming!” Tweets and what not. Not sure what the deal is now
Audience: Man, these last seasons of Game of Thrones fucking sucked, felt so rushed. Why didn't they take their time? Cast and Crew: Sorry y'all, we were just really burnt out and wanted to get it over with. Audience: STFU, no one asked your opinion, now go make five more seasons back to back and do it right this time.
tbf this show already has a known 4-5 season end date. We’re not talking about what could of/should of been a 10 season monster here haha
To be fair they probably had to adjust the scripts for this season after finding out they are probably only getting 8 episodes each for the last two seasons
That legit makes me kinda mad. The show has been good and he had even praised a lot of the changes and performances? Write your book George
Seriously the only thing as a book reader that made me go "ehh didn't like that choice" that didn't feel like it made sense from the "unreliable narrator" point of view was the changes to Helena's choice in Blood & Cheese. ANd it's not like it was totally bungled! THe non-book readers were still horrified at what happened! The lack of Maelor does create issues IMO but it's not THAT bad. I think story wise they did a fantastic job. Some of the stuff that wasn't in the books, namely the meetings between Rhaenyra and Alicent, make a lot of sense when you're reading the books tbh. Like there are things mentioned in the book that make you go "huh, wonder why that happened like that", and one of the plausible answers for some of those things are in fact "Well actually these two characters met in secret" lol. Relatedly, I definitely remember thinking during the book like "Okay Daemon has been at Harrenhal for a while, what the hell is he doing up there? And how's he know when to move on Kings Landing? etc....Like, it makes a lot of sense that part of what was going on was he was toying with the idea of making a claim himself, IMO. and I don't think it was ever mentioned that Rhaenyra flew up there and met with him, but it makes a lot of sense that she would!
