I thought it was implied that she had to have the head of the person who challenged the throne in part because the realm already automatically assumes she’s weak because she’s a woman. I did wonder why she wouldn’t allow him to “escape” but he couldn’t show up anywhere
Can’t leave anybody alive that could potentially have a claim to the throne. That’s why they killed Elia Maretll’s kids in GoT or did they?!?! or why they killed all of Robert’s bastards. It’s why Jon Snows parentage is kept a secret.
Condal didn't say how many episodes but it sounds like they plan on only doing 8 per season from here on out
there’s still so much to happen in the war/immediate aftermath, I just don’t see how they do it justice in 16 episodes, unless they do like no character development and some of the twists still to come in the story are just severely undercooked. Sigh.
we’re like 15% of the way through the dance either they have to rush and cut a decent amount or S3 is gonna be 8 episodes of battles
immediate aftermath is just as important as getting there. it’d be a shame if they end up making the final episode of the show a quick summary of it instead of fleshing it out a bit
Not to get all doom and gloom but like, did no one learn anything from how GoT collapsed and almost entirely went to shit? It’s almost like HBO and the show runners want to have short seasons and a quick closing of the story to show they can do it that way and have it be good/great but they don’t have the trust to do that. Also curious how this war will shake out. If it’s another one episode pitch black mess like it was in GoT that’s gonna really suck. Would be fascinating if season 3 is ENTIRELY the war and takes place over like 2-3 weeks or something. At the very least please make it more than one goddamn episode lol but if the seasons are only 8 episodes a piece I don’t know if they go that route. Again, not trying to be all doom and gloom because the show has done almost everything really well so far.
i guess we saw isle of faces last night? totally missed that but they mentioned it on Talk the Thrones
didn't GRRM himself say the show should be four seasons from the outset? seems a bit like concern trolling to be fretting about the show, halfway done that was very good in the first half, just because we found out the end is set lol
Felt like Daemon needed more time to fight with that decision, his whole season arc just over in the blink of an eye
Ok just watched. Tbh I liked it. Did I like it as much as I would have and we ended were we thought? Nah. With what we got though I enjoyed it. That e song montage was hype and I'm guessing Gullet opens the season and even possibly taking the throne at the very end, I can't see them going past episode 2 for that. As far as the announcement of it ending on S4.....like other have said.....how lol. Especially if it's 8 episodes each? Really needed to be 5 seasons cuz I have a feeling shits gonna be rushed.
I get what you're saying but I think they were just trying to show how serious he took the vision. Like you know how some people can be addicted to drugs and then have a super bad trip that scares them straight, and they never touch the drug again? Daemon has seen the light lol.
this sounds kinda harsh but I just felt my interest in this show drop dramatically knowing there's 16 more episodes and that was where they chose to end it. and I actually liked the episode but c'mon lol
So am I way off base in thinking that Heleana reached out to Daemon to be like yo I need you to kill this fool
i don’t think it’s that she needs him to do this but rather that she has also seen what he has seen and knows he needs to do it generally re: aegon’s dream
