lots of maneuvering and jockeying for positions, not much action which means someone is gonna die next episode
-Loved the visual of Caraxes behind Bracken -meeting lady Jeyne Arryn! -Harrenhall story is just weird as fuck lol. Really happy they took it in this direction. Also meeting Alyssa Targaryen! But not like that! -Also really wasn’t expecting them to go full on rebel with Daemon. The way the story is laid out in the books it kind of makes sense, but yeah. Interested to see where this goes. -interesting clandestine warfare being played by Rhaenyra and Lady Misery here -wasn’t sure what to think of that last Harrenhall scene with the lords. Were those all Brackens? Was that real or a dream? I lean towards real but yeah. -The whole council basically passing over Alicent, relegating her to her fate of being subservient to the men around her once again. Seemed simple enough to just name her Queen Regent and Aemond Protector of the Realm, but nooo -Hating that we didn’t even get a mention of Sabitha Frey -ooooo setting up for the dragonseeds next week! That ending especially is what gave me GOT S1/2 vibes. Felt like the end of a lot of those episodes -What army/people was that galloping through the forest there towards the end of the episode? Trailer for next week light spoilers on the dragon we see in it: wooooo I think that was Silverwing at the end of the trailer? It looked a little too small to be Vermithor, and the images we’ve seen of Vermithor he has looked a bit more gnarly. This dragon seemed to look pretty much exactly like Dany’s from what I saw of it. Which we know Dreamfyre looks like hers (since that’s really supposed to be the mother of her dragons), and I believe Seasmoke looked just like hers as well. Was that Seasmoke? I guess so? Just for some reason looked a little different, though I guess it has technically been years since we’ve seen Seasmoke up close
Also love the look Lord Strong gives Alys when he walks by her to give Daemon the message. Looks straight up terrified of her lol
yeah they are reallllly dragging this out. Either this is going to go 5 seasons or they really are gonna get to the end and just cut it off even though technically it takes a couple years to resolve all the loose ends even when the war ends lol
But I still assume we get Battle of the Gullet in episode 8 so we end on a major death (big spoiler don’t read though I did leave character names out)
Definitely a set up ep but I’m very intrigued by the half targ dragonriders and whatever is happening with Lady M’s spy.
was reading some stuff. not sure of the validity but it seems the show may switch KL and Gullet to prevent similar endings I guess
Yeah but the problem is that immediately proceeds an even bigger event, and it would be really weird if they started season 3 with that instead of making it the end of season 2.
My guess is the Sowing next week, followed by the Battle of the Gullet in E7, then Honeywine to end the season.
hmmm…yeah I really have no idea. I think you certainly could pull it off the same way they did lion and the rose episode 2 of Season 4. I don’t know. With a storyline like this where there are so many big events, it’s hard to plot it out over a season where you’re gonna have some big events in non-traditional episodes
I truly don’t think we’re gonna get the Honeywine this season now with the pace they’re going. I think that gets pushed to S3 now
Not surprising to get a more mild ep after last week's. Daemon seems completely out of it and in over his head. I'm intrigued by the idea they introduce at the end there about potential dragon riders.
I wouldn't be mad at that, but the way they're pacing the show makes it feel like if that doesn't happen by end of season, we're looking at the fall of KL being mid season 3, which would be kinda weird
They could do (Obviously major huge spoilers) Episode 6 The Sowing and Daemon gets his Riverlands shit together Episode 7 The Gullet Episode 8 The Fishfeed and the taking of KL
