I like what they did with Moondancer. GRRM described Moondancer in the book as "A winged horse", and I think they got the size/speed right there.
I just realized with all this talk of the book story (and MAJOR spoilers here so don't look though I'll try to be vague): Completely forgot that Daemon was never found...I really want to see how the show decides to play that.
Gonna get real nerdy and complain-y here in a mostly not serious way, but upon rewatch, when Cole and the army are marching out of Kings Landing and they show that arial view of it with the water on the left of the army, that doesn’t make much sense. That would have them leaving out of one of the gates on the left side of the city along the Blackwater, as if they were marching west or south, when they’re supposedly supposed to be marching north east to Rosby. “10 miles outside of Boston” energy. *pushes glasses up nose*
Lol I was thinking about this after Daemon’s heart tree run in. Feels like the old gods and r’hllor and the many faced god all have some sort of magic and abilities and the Seven are just like uhh
I need a nerd to explain why in HotD, the monarch of the Seven Kingdoms bears the title ‘King of the Andals, the Rhoynar, and the First Men’ while in GoT mention of the Rhoynar is dropped.
Just Googled it and the full title is used in Season 4 by Missandei, but before then probably because the Dornish hadn't been introduced yet. Short answer? It's a bad adaptation.
Rooks Rest as the midway point in the season gonna be sick. Also makes me question how far we get this season. Either they’re skipping something important or we’re not getting as far as I assumed.
i don’t think this is accurate? i could be wrong but i definitely remember rhoynar being a thing i knew before HOTD
they mention it a couple of times, but for example it’s not used by the herald in the throne room in Season 1 when Ned comes in and Cersei has already crowned Joffery
I always assumed we’d get the fall of KL + Otto stuff at the end of this season but now I don’t think so tbh Book spoilers etc etc etc
yeah that’s where I’m at too. I’m thinking we maybe end with the fish feed? I really don’t know. We still have to do dragon seeds, The Gullet, the intro of Daeron and Tessarion, and Fish Feed before we get to the fall of KL. They could change the timeline of things around of course.
It randomly just occurred to me, and means nothing because they don’t have much of a relationship with each other, but Daemon claimed Rhaenys’ dad’s dragon, and Rhaenys’ claimed Daemon’s moms dragon
