i was wondering/thinking that too. Though for some reason I thought I remembered him being younger

 

I just looked up the actor that is listed as playing him. It was him.

 

His grief got overshadowed by the twins but poor loyal doggo

 

speaking of new character intros, I think we’re getting Bloody Ben next week? Certainly looks like some Riverlands shenanigans next week in the previews

 

Lmao this was me until I saw Arryk go for the leg wound to get Erryk to stop choking him. I knew Erryk had taken the cut to the leg earlier on the fight

Probably my favorite ep yet of the series. That was so brutal with the duel and how it went down.


Also I definitely had some sympathy for Otto this ep. Just like Daemon he loved Viserys. The choices he made to get here are his own but you see how he truly misses him in times like these and I wasn’t aware he was fired (again lol) so I could see him having a good arc this season.

The stuff with Hugh has me really curious. Just knowing he’s a Scorpion architect I’m assuming he comes into play soon.

 

And yes the actor who plays Aegon is really making me feel for the guy. For a second I thought he had received word that the assassination attempt was thwarted and that’s why he was crying when Alicent came in. Nope Alicent just didn’t want to console her grieving son? See CC is rubbing off on you girl

 

Started laughing out loud when Rhaenys looked at daemon and he slowly feels the gaze and looks up ahah.

and then again when Rhaenyra suddenly realizes Daemon is uncharacteristically quiet right now

 

me and my housemates were a little bit bored this week honestly. looong ass ep for just some table setting, although we still liked the duel and the Rhanerya/Daemon argument was really good

kinda ready to see a war and not just each camp taking pot-shots by sending the worst assassins ever to the other team's castle lol. also ready to never see another Alicent/Cole scene, my eyes glaze over whenever they're on-screen together

 

a VisOtto ship now? Were they like good friends?

 

I felt like this episode was shot very differently. Looking forward to watching BTS episode.

Yeah some of the ways the cameras were used this episode were very different for GOT/HOTD and…I don’t think I liked it? The camera swing when Rhaenyra leans down into Daemon’s face to ask what he told them if they couldn’t find Aemond comes to mind. I don’t remember either show ever having a fast camera movement like that during a one on one convo?

 

Haha I saw this last night too but wasn’t smart enough to recognize it as Daemon coded.
