Cargyll duel was great

 

Oh my god the Cargyll duel.

 

Book to show change talk : we finally got mention of Prince Daeron! I also see what they're doing with Otto with him going back to Oldtown instead of staying in King's Landing after he's dismissed as Hand like he does in the book. It makes a lot more sense to change it to make him central to upcoming The Reach arc, he's a much stronger character than Ormund Hightower.

 

Otto was really yapping in that room with Aegon and Cole. Mf had a thesaurus

 

Duel was also so good

Problem is, once future events happen, he’s supposed to be in Kings Landing for a certain thing

 

They really did such a good job with it. I don’t know what I was expecting, but that was as heartbreaking as it could be, especially with the way it ended

 

Looks like shit’s going down next week, can’t wait.

 

Should’ve ended with the duel. The less Cole/Alicent sex scenes I have to see the better

 

I don't think he is going to be there for that thing in the show. I actually think that is a good change.

 

Oh man someone in the replies to that screenshotted the Brienne “died protecting his queen” writing, Twitter is trying to upset me

 

idk I was looking forward to him and Rhaenyra meeting face to face again haha

 

Haven't really said much about Tom-Glynn Carney's acting so far but he fucking brought it this episode, him and Rhys Ifans both

 

I just hate Otto so much.

 

Yeah Aegon II rules this season. Such a good character

 

idk I kinda liked him this episode even though he’s very much trying to have his cake and eat it too. Like, you chose this path dude, you coulda instead spent years grooming Rhaenyra to be Queen and got it good with her instead, now your shithead grandson is the king oops

 

A lot of good performances this week with emotions running high for all the characters. Duel at the end was great too and surprisingly sad. I also liked the little scene between Baela and Jace.

 

I thought this was a great Emma D’Arcy episode, although it may just stand out after they only had like one line last week.

But yeah Tom Glynn-Carney has been fantastic.
