But seriously the fun in this series is the book is sort of an “unreliable narrator” so the show is making choices that are only hinted or alluded to in the books and it’s a lot of fun. we went into season 1 not knowing exactly why Rhaenyra and Cole had a falling out, so it was cool to see them kind of blend all 3 theories/stories about it together
i kinda agree with grim *shudders* not to that extent but it does seem like every scene on this show is examined with a fine-tooth comb in a way that's kind of annoying to try to participate in the convo about on a tv level lol
It’s definitely silly to breakdown every little aspect but I’d say it’s pretty normal to at least have a convo about bigger portions of the story and how they differed from the books. Thats it really
If we're talking purely show, the CGI on Syrax landing and Rhaenyra getting off seemed a bit clunky (or was that just me?), and Syrax herself seems...small? Def thought Syrax was bigger than that
Also the way Cole was talking about Rhaenyra's hold on Alicent when they were young...that all but confirmed those two definitely fooled around a bit to me? Rhaenyra seemed to infer pretty heavily she had fooled around with a girl/girls in her convo with Laenor in season 1, but I thought maybe it was just talk
Fine anything involving the book at all spoiler or not I will spoiler tag to not step on toes or ruffle feathers. I hope you like thread pages that look like this:
to be clear, i couldn't care less about spoilers. spoil whatever. wear a diaper if you're going to piss your pants over seeing details in a thread about a tv show. i was more reflecting on last night whenever there was seemingly any scene and five people would respond like "oh this is different than the show we were lead to believe it was like xyz" like cool, nerd
Cole's hypocrisy by hooking up with Alicent pisses me off so much. And every time he talks about Rhaenyra it's so damn salty. Like dude has zero self-awareness.
