How are you guaranteed the spot you want if someone can plant their flag like a child calling the front seat?

Yesterday I got to the movie after the trailers had started, picked some random seat on their screen, and then went into the theater and looked around and picked a seat like my ancestors did. It is so easy then having to count rows and seats and find out someone is in your seat and bother some 17 year old to play seat police.

I've luckily never had any issue with someone sitting in my seat. I just show up and sit down, I usually pick the same seat so I know where it is.

he’s …. saying that you can’t always get the seat you want when you pick ahead of time bc it’s already taken lol.

He said he went to the theater and picked seats. Also you couldn’t always get the seat you wanted before assigned seats. This is a stupid argument.

I never said you could always get the seat you wanted before assigned seats. However, it is a lot easier to do so in that system.

I can count on one hand the number of times I've planned for a specific showtime in advance, and that was when I was driving over 100 miles to see something that might have four other customers.

90% of the time I plan when I’m going to the movies because of a hectic schedule

the other 10% I buy them day of and still have zero problem getting seats I want. I’m baffled by this argument

I just don't get why it's a thing. I guess if you're going to sold out shows and are that particular about it. It's not like I'm gonna show up, see only front right seats available and go home

I just check on the website for the showtime and then see seats available and buy them then. I don’t think I ever just show up to a theatre with no plan and not know if there’s seats or what seats are available.

it’s extremely more convenient to me to be able to look at home and buy tickets then it would be for me to show up at a theatre, hope there’s a decent seat that’s not causing me to crane my neck. I much prefer being able to choose ahead of time and not worry about rushing to a place early to get the seat I want.

Also I had to see this in a place where I couldn’t reserve seats. First time in awhile. I had so much useless anxiety leading up to my first step into the theatre. No thanks.

This was fine. Leto was in a completely different movie. The crowd sucked but I didn’t really mind because this was blah.

I’m glad Leto was the way he was because at least I got laughs out of the absurdity. Outside of that, I had no reaction to this at all.

leto played one of the dumbest characters in film. it's fitting.

i hope ridley's press tour never ends. it's sensational.

Leto’s character and acting brought this down a lot but other than that, this was alright. Nothing spectacular though.

This was…uneventful. There just wasn’t anything there. Also every damn shot had this murky toned down filter on it

This and Last Night in Solo also go well together as movies relating to fashion that barely spend any time on the fashion. Take some notes from Phantom Thread, guys

yeah idk how you can say Leto brought this down when he was at least doing something notable, even if it was more laughing at him than with him. Contrast that with a whole bunch of scenes you can tell were supposed to be dramatic but were just completely lifeless, like Pacino’s character learning Leto had sold his shares. I felt absolutely nothing when Driver was shot lol

He was terrible, a total caricature. It was straight up goofy. That’s why he brought it down. But I would agree Driver gave a muted performance. Lady Gaga and Pacino definitely held up this film

There’s just not really anything to bring down, though. So it’s like hey yeah he might as well be a total caricature, fuck it
