Everyone was able to pick their own seats for decades until someone decided we needed our hand held like small children.

I can’t imagine not liking picking seats when you buy your tickets. My anxiety would be crazy if I had to get there early to get the seats I want. I love buying tickets ahead of time and getting there during the previews.

If I pick my seats then I am going to be forced to sit near people if they get there after me and pick those seats. It is less freedom, not more.

Before picking seats, I had to show up to blockbusters opening night early and sit in line for good seats, which was the worst. And, even for normal movie situations, love getting dibs on the rail seat (which I didn’t get for this, unfortunately) or whatever other good available seating option.

    Anyways, I liked this movie.

This was…bad. Really stilted and awkward in most parts. I wanted a movie that really explored the allure of wealth and how decrepit that path can be, and instead we got the Wikipedia version of this story.

I just had to ask someone to leave my seat tonight. I could have just taken seats nearby, but didn’t wanna start the seat stealing chain you saw!

I've had someone sit in my seat like once in the hundreds of times I've done reserved seating, seems like a you problem

anyway Adam Driver and Gaga had great chemistry and Pacino was clearly having a blast
there was no way anyone could have salvaged Paolo but that doesn't make Leto any less bizarre in this, and also not sure what Jeremy Irons was doing or why he looked like John Waters
this was a great story even if it was a little long and wish there was more is this just the brutality of power and the fashion industry or are these people just the worst
how the fuck is Tom Ford from Texas haha

Paolo was a great character made better by being played by someone with bad makeup and a bad accent. I just wish that someone weren’t Jared Leto for, y’know, reasons. But, conceptually, I loved that absolute loser of a character and his role in the movie.

picking seats is so stupid. there is one theater in town that is holding out from the trend and they get the majority of my business

I can't imagine being against reserved seats. You're guaranteed the spot you want. You don't have to get there early. No one will take your spot while you're getting popcorn. What's not to like

Yeah this is a truly baffling take lol picking seats in advance is so much better

You could show up 20 mins late to miss the previews because of reserved seats!!

Ok I’m all for reserved seats but using it as an excuse to miss previews? No thank you. Previews are one of my favorite parts of the theater experience.

I have A List, tho. So, I’m at the movies almost every weekend. The previews get a little tiresome.

Yeah I love the trailers but when I go to often they get repetitive.

It was funny having the last trailer before this be Licorice Pizza, and then between that trailer and this movie there was one of Cinemark’s ads about the “cinematic” experience… revolving around Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Also, I think I’ve only sat through it twice so far, but that Matt Damon ad for crypto that plays in the middle of the movie trailers for some reason is the worst.

this is exactly what I do

seeing 20 minutes of the same fucking trailer at least once a week is so painful

Yeah going to the movies a lot you tend to see the same trailers over and over. It gets annoying.
