Solid song. Guessing it's a one-off single or WWIW b-side to promote their tour opening for FOB and JEW.
Back half of the current tour taking over for The Maine, yes. Then immediately on their own headliner with Free Throw, Just Friends, Charmer.
New song is so good. The subject matter got me pretty riled up as I listened to it while sitting at my desk at work lol.
Saw them in Harrisburg tonight on an off-date headliner. They said it was the longest set they’ve ever played. 21 songs over an hour and 20 mins. Plenty of old stuff / no new song. One of the loudest rooms I’ve been in in a long while. Catch them before his voice is shot! Hot Mulligan Setlist at The Capitol Room at Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center, Harrisburg
I mean he's said it himself. The show i was at last weekend, after 5 songs in he commented on his voice after almost every song break after that. It wasn't "whiny complaining" but several times he talked about how hard it is to sing certain songs, his voice hurts, he needs to go to the hospital, has no oxygen in his brain and needs to take a break, etc. The upside is he sounded fantastic the entire show.
I think that's literally part of his stage persona now. He seems like an awkward dude who doesn't like to talk on stage much. When I saw them in November, it was only like the 3rd or 4th night of the tour and he was saying all the exact same stuff, but his voice never wavered throughout the set and then they went on to do the rest of the tour not seemingly phased in any way.
I mean, just for contrast, his voice sounded noticeably more strained when I saw them last night with FOB than when I saw them headline in November. Don’t know if the arena setting or the fact that maybe the sound was better was contributing to that, but it was noticeable to me. Pup titled a whole album after this. I’m sure Tades is doing as much as he can to take care of his voice but relentless touring is going to have an effect.
This is what I figured. Seen them when playing with The Wonder Years and he commented on his voice being terrible even though he spent the whole night sounding about the same as he does on the albums never missing a beat lol
