just started playing wow again this weekend hell yeah.

 

The thought of mounts being boobs never entered my mind but I’ve played a lot of WoW in my day

 

I was thinking more along the lines of genitals than boobs. But either way the title sounds dirty lol

Really liking this. Glad the vocals aren’t as screamy as the past couple

 

Huh if anything I felt the later half of the record has a lot of screams. Not complaining

Did we listen to the same album? The screams literally had my wife begging me to turn it off while listening to it in the car yesterday

 

Man, "It Smells Like Fudge Axe in Here" is so damn catchy. Can't get enough of this album. Absolutely fantastic, my album of the year so far and right up there with their others. Excellent front to back.

I personally really love Moving To Bedbug Island. Feels very different from the rest of the album imo

 

Important thematically and is the album thesis statement, it's probably the saddest song on the record from my perspective but there are a fuckton of contenders.

 

My wife hates screamy stuff but I just kept telling her these guys were also from Michigan and that always gets her to open up. Haha. She was bobbing along to "And a big load."

This has grown on me a ton. This band has evolved so much over the past three albums it’s insane. I dig their pre YBF stuff, but the lyrics are definitely juvenile on the earlier stuff. They definitely scratch the same itch that TWY, SLS and Arms Length do as far as making emotionally devastating music that is also catchy/anthemic. I’m really excited to see the headlining tour. Easily my tour of the year and the new songs are gonna go off live.

 

Going to finally sit down with the lyrics tomorrow to see if this connects more. Never did that with who would ever watch and that click right away.

 

"And A Big Load" is still pretty obviously the biggest hit here, but I like the record as a whole more with every listen.
