Realized as I was replacing a mod that I was going to lose it because I didn't have the tinker skill. Was sad.
Didn't realize there was a thread. This game is amazing. Almost done with it. 86% I believe. About 85% of the trophies too. One of my favorite games to have come out in the last few years. I hope they make a sequel.
My only complaint is the waypoint system. What in the actually fuck. Other than that, flawless. It also looks and runs amazing on my 70"
Just got to meridian, bought a shadow hunter bow and debating either purchasing a shadow sharpshot or rattler, thoughts?
Sharp shot. Rattler was useless to me throughout the whole game. I only bought every weapon just to do the corresponding tutorial.. tear arrows are the biz as well.
100% Sharpshot. Tearblast and precision arrows are, to borrow a phrase, the biz. Also get the triple arrow skill as soon as you can.
I got a sharp shot, and a rattler. Honestly my shock ammo on my rattler destroys a majority of machines. So it's gotten good use from me.
Shadow Hunter bow is the shit with two 40+ fire mods and a 40+ damage mod. Three knocked fire arrows will ignite anything one hit. And three knocked hardpoint arrows will cause massive damage. I love this game. Literally have gotten everything except all the data points, which I don't think you get a trophy for. Redmaw was an awesome battle as well. The whol lodge quest line was great. Hunters Lodge weapons are the shit especially the blast sling and ropecaster. Gooldddd. Think outside the box if you're having trouble with some of the hunting grounds.
I love he ropecaster so much. Literally getting them in a radius so then you can override. Super effective with stormbirds or thunderjaws.
Ropecaster was def one of the most important weapons for my play through. For bigger stuff I'd like to rope em up, then throw as many sticky bombs on as I could before they break out.
See I'd rope and lay traps or light them up in their vulnerable spots with flame arrows or hardpoint. I just love how different everyone can play with the weapon sets.
I never used the Ropecaster or traps once. Because I don't fight underhanded like you guys. Have some goddamn integrity.
I used the trip caster a lot towards the end of the game with the bigger machines. Just set loads of those and then drew them into it my mega trap with an arrow. Then once they were down I hammered them with arrows and set additional trip ropes for when they got back up.
I didn't even know how to use the balloon things until a mission at the very end that required them. Lol
Just got the shield weaver armor. So dope. Man the story in this game is great. The pacing. It's a lot longer then I expected.
Here's some screenshots from photo mode now that I'm not focusing on the story. Folder with bigger versions:
