There are two endings being shown in theaters. My 5 year old daughter and I saw the one where the animals brutally murdered all the humans and then slowly died themselves as the irreversible effects of human-caused climate change continued to ravage the planet. There was a post-credit scene where God is watching all of this take place while Needle in the Hay plays and he looks into the camera and says “I’m going to kill myself today.” And it cuts to black.
That’s the ending I got. The whole audience cheered and applauded. I thought the use of Heresy by Nine Inch Nails as the end credits music was a little on the nose though
We’ve had a weird Easter where the baby has RSV and was exposed to my wife who tested positive for Covid so my son, myself, and my mom have all been isolating from them downstairs here and at my moms place while wife takes paxlovid and masks up but also takes care of baby because doc said we just have to assume he has it after being with her unmasked for a day+. He keeps testing negative tho so…. Anyway, we didn’t travel fro Easter so found an empty theater showing this and it was a blast. So many funny moments (the squish and then the frog getting the son later had me dying), and jsut so well done. Kinda loved the bug king going completely genocidal on every animal once it had some power lol, made so much sense tbh. Bugs be wanting their revenge.
