I did a full length run today (minus Freshman Year) and lemme tell you there’s not a flaw in that discography
Yeah I don't think there's a single Hop Alpng song that I flat out do not like. Certainly I have once I like more than others but it's a no skips discog. Honestly I'm just glad I got to tell Frances how much seeing Hop Along meant to me before they went on this indefinite hiatus.
i don’t feel like they’re done, but the band obviously isn’t everyone’s number one priority anymore. which is fine. if/when they’re back it will be great.
If we're not going to get another Hop Along record I'd love another Frances solo LP since most of the band(?) were on that record anyway.
Who knows, we may get another one someday! Only said that bc it’s no longer the announcement I expect to see when the thread is bumped
Frances' Another Season track from I saw the Tv Glow was cool. Do we know of that was a B-side from Likewise or possibly from a newer studio session with Joe?
Listened to it again over the weekend after reading the stereogum article and it really is pretty much perfect. Every song is good and beyond that they’re just really on point as a band. The songs themselves are so great that you kind of take for granted how much the vocals and guitar licks elevate them. Not even 100k listeners on Spotify anymore, wild to me.
So glad they're back and hopefully doing a lot more How Simple put me into an existential crisis like a week ago
i would not necessarily expect more at this juncture. they’ve played a handful of random one offs since winding down the cycle for this album whacky good lineup for both nights, regardless
