it's not even officially out yet but i am already considering myself quite floored by this album. i've had to catch my breath a couple times, no lie, lol

Haven't heard more than the first few songs yet but Not Abel is just the greatest song ever and the guitar at the end makes life worth living

 

My only grape with this album is how 2 songs use fade outs . That's such a pet peeve of mine . Hearing the guitar solo on Not Abel slowly drift away kills me

 

So weird. The singer is constantly flat or sharp throughout the whole record. Not sure how they're cool with it as well as their producer.

I've honestly never perceived that on any Hop Along song. IMO that's like saying the same thing about Joe's guitar parts.

 

CD rip of this sounds so much better.

 

Ya that's another thing. They definitely didn't use a guitar tuner on some songs for sure. I can understand wanting to make something raw but this is another level of that lol.

I understand the concept of “on tune,” but to criticize her specific voice (for being pitchy, no less) for this specific band’s music seems so silly to me.

Are they gonna tour with strings, do we think?

 

doubt it. would be cool if they did though

 

I am beyond excited to see them no matter what, but I kind of hope they don’t attempt to pull off the songs with strings without strings

every listen i find something new to love

 

that vocoder is such a cool touch

 

this is like complaining about the early bright eyes record.. thats a reason why people like it! Definitely not the only reason either.
