Absolutely loved this. No idea what season 2 could possibly be about but I’m looking forward to it.

What is the tone and quality of this show like when comparing to Mr. Robot?

It’s a lot more restrained and down-to-earth than Mr Robot but it has a very similar vibe of paranoia. They’re pretty different shows but I think they’re both great.

This show captures so much of the weirdness that I love about Mr Robot. Kudos to Sam for becoming one of the better showrunners around. But I thought the ending was really anti-climatic and boring. Still really enjoyed the show, but wish the ending had a big twist or more drama.

any instances of torture or screaming in this? really want to watch this, but my girlfriend can't handle those scenes at all. so I need to be cautious of what shows I watch in our small one-bedroom apartment.

for example, for Mr. Robot fans, the scene where concrete is shoved down his throat when he's hallucinating/dreaming in season two was wayyyy too much for her.

Nothing like that. It’s tense and suspenseful but never gets anywhere near as intense as Mr. Robot.

Totally forgot about that Mr. Robot scene. That was pretty fucked up actually, I definitely remember feeling pretty uncomfortable for that one

    awesome, thank you! much appreciated.

yeah, it was rough. I usually can tolerate that stuff, but that was especially bad, especially when he's searching through his own vomit.

    This was addicting as hell.

We need more 30 min dramas

I'm hoping Mr. Robot comes out right after GoT finishes up. That would be a solid run of TV for my spring/early summer. Although that means that both of my favorite shows currently running will be finished.

  23. Finally got around to starting this. I'm intrigued after 2 eps.

Put this off for a while but couldn’t put it down once i started it. Love the 30 minute length, made it super enjoyable to consume and didn’t overwhelm. The episodes were focused and left you wanting more.

I think it dipped a little in quality towards the ending but all in all I wad pretty satisfied with it and will look forward to season 2.

Is the podcast worth listening to even knowing how the story unfolds?

  25. I loved this. Definitely more grounded than Mr. Robot but still stylized in a way that makes a slow burn series like this more engaging. Loved the performances, especially Roberts. Probably my favorite performance from Shea Whigham. I also liked the ending and found it both heartbreaking and reassuring.
