I think this album is really good but I do not think I like Mechanical Bull (and I hate how it’s sequenced with The Wolf Man) nor do I think the album is as good as The Whaler. Curious to see how I feel about it in a few months.
I like this a lot. I think The Whaler is better, but that was a massive grower for me, so I expect the same here. Love that this band absolutely swing for the fences with their concepts. Basically just them and Creeper who do it this well, imo. Milk & Diesel is immediately in my top 5 songs of theirs, too.
instrumentally this is pretty cool. i think i would have liked it a lot a decade ago. vocals are difficult for me to get on board with though
yeah I wish I liked it but it is doing nothing for me. I love the previous two so I will keep trying.
Pretty much how I feel about everything they’ve done. I do like I Became Birds but I have to be in the mood for it.
Finally took this for a good walk today and it was sublime. Probably still like The Whaler more, but this is really good stuff.
