Yeah, this is instantly my album of the year so far. I loved the last one a ton, and still feel like this is a big step up.
I remember only checking out a few songs from the last one but never getting around to listening to the full thing but one played after this finished and instantly grabbed my attention so I'm gonna need to go back to that one soon.
Wow, this album is fantastic. Gonna be playing this a ton this weekend. Title track and Red Chevy are my early favorites.
1) this rules. 2) @satellitexyears this feels in your wheelhouse 3) was going to tag craig too but i see he's already here
"Die Happy" was such a bad first single choice in retrospect, kind of the blandest song on here. Really enjoying "Make It All Better", "White Noise", and "Drunk Dialing". AOTY nominee for sure, excited to catch her in June.
So happy to see people into this record and hoping it elevates her to where she SHOULD be in the realm of modern pop. Incredibly consistent artist.
I somehow missed that song when it came out last year, so my first taste of this album was "To Love Somebody," which would have been kind of the ideal leadoff single, IMO. I like "Die Happy" a lot, but it's a little puzzling as a first single.
Thanks for the tag and reminding me this came out today! Honestly she's been all over my Facebook/ Instagram ads with her new album specifically the song Cruel World and she definitely is in my wheelhouse.
Liked this a lot more than her last album, only a few songs on here I don't really gel with but otherwise it's good
One of my favorites. Not sure if anyone feels this but I constantly get Gaslight Anthem / Menzingers vibes from her songs, despite it being pop. Like Make It All Better totally sounds like something off of a Menzingers album.
I've gotten to the point where this is basically all I'm listening to and I just start over again when it wraps
